Sunny, the energetic one-year-old golden retriever is the youngest of the bunch. Sunny joined the program in the spring. Like Crystal, he spent his first months with Liz. Even as a young pup, Sunny has always been a ball of energy, giving him the nickname, the social butterfly. Dog or human, Sunny will befriend anyone instantly.

He is currently going through his teenage years, which means he can be a little too social and rambunctious at times. Liz has lots of experience with the terrible teenage years and is confident that it is indeed, just a phase.

Sunny has just recently finished basic obedience training and is beginning to dive into advanced training. He is training to be a mobility and seizure alert dog. This means Sunny will have to be in training for longer than his peers due to the fact that he is both a mobility service dog and a seizure alert dog. Sunny and his perspective owner are due to meet for the first time in February.
